It’s been a gorgeous week in Vermont- a FULL WEEK without rain and plenty of sun.  It has brought out so much growth and made us all very happy!  One of our customers works for Ben and Jerry’s; she brought us some ice cream and we had a nice break in the afternoon on Thursday.

Ice cream break!

Here are some photos of the garden taken today, along with some close-ups of what’s blooming now.

Some of our bulbs arrived today and the bulk of them will be here by the end of the week. Most of the bulbs we’re carrying have been grown in our garden; since we liked them so much, we’re offering them for sale.  And then a few are new for us-  we were intrigued, and hope you are too!

Here’s a list of what we’re carrying this year with some of our own photos and  some taken from that great library called “the internet”.  If you scroll over the image and leave your curser there for a second, it will reveal the name of the bulb depicted in the photo.  Enjoy the show and see you soon!

Our Open House is the first weekend in May- could be warm- could be cool, but we put it on- rain or shine.

Almost Home Market in Bristol Village caters our Open House with petite scones and hot coffee and tea in the morning and mini wraps in the afternoon.  We’ll have a few specials in the store, so stop by and pick up our new plant list supplement for 2009, have a bite and take a look at what’s new.
